Care and Specificities

MSQ Disorders - Orthopaedic

Musculoskeletal and orthopaedic physiotherapy aims to relieve pain, restore mobility, and improve the function of joints, muscles, and tendons. It is essential for preventing injuries, optimising recovery after trauma, and regaining physical performance.

Examples of conditions:

  • Lower back pain, neck pain, sciatica
  • Tendinopathies
  • Sprains, fractures, dislocations
  • Postural disorders (scoliosis, kyphosis)
  • Joint pain

Example of pathologies:

  • Physical preparation before surgery
  • Recovery of mobility and strength
  • Reduction of pain and swelling

Examples of conditions:

  • Prosthesis
  • Ligamentoplasty
  • Shoulder surgery (rotator cuff, instability)
  • Spinal surgery (herniated disc, spondylolisthesis)
  • Complex fractures

General physiotherapy

La kinésithérapie générale couvre un large spectre de soins adaptés aux besoins spécifiques de chaque patient, qu’il s’agisse de rééducation fonctionnelle, de prévention ou de maintien de la santé physique.

Example of management:

  • Muscle strengthening and stretching
  • Rehabilitation after prolonged immobilisation
  • Management of fatigue or physical stress
  • Muscle and joint pain
  • Chronic pain
  • Stiffness and loss of mobility
  • Global body rehabilitation
  • Prevention of physical disorders

Lymphatic Disorders

Lymphatic physiotherapy, or manual lymphatic drainage, stimulates lymph circulation and reduces swelling. It is particularly useful in cases of venous or lymphatic circulation disorders.

The technique used is the Leduc method. A specific, gentle, and effective technique for lymphatic drainage.

Examples of conditions:

  • Lymphoedema (primary or secondary)
  • Post-surgical or post-traumatic oedema
  • Venous disorders
  • Water retention and heavy legs

Rehabilitation and readaptation

Neuro-motor rehabilitation is aimed at patients with neurological disorders affecting movement, balance or coordination. The goal is to regain maximum autonomy in daily life and a certain quality of life.

Examples of conditions:

  • Stroke (hemiplegia, balance disorders)
  • Head injuries
  • Spinal cord injuries (paraplegia, tetraplegia)
  • Multiple sclerosis
  • Parkinson's disease

Geriatrics

Geriatric physiotherapy is dedicated to issues related to the aging of the body. It aims to maintain or restore autonomy, prevent falls, and improve quality of life. Sessions are tailored to the pace and abilities of each individual.

Examples of treatments:

  • Fall prevention
  • Balance training
  • Maintenance - recovery of joint and muscle mobility
  • Maintenance / recovery of autonomy

Examples of conditions:

  • Osteoarthritis
  • Sarcopenia (age-related muscle loss)
  • Support for neurodegenerative diseases
